150 years ago, an intrepid northern lass called Miss Jemima Morrell wrote an account of possibly the first package walking tour of the Bernese Oberland. Before the luxurious Venice-Simplon service brought the connotation of luxury to the service, regular scheduled trains were threading their way between Paris and Istanbul – the real Orient Express.
